I just dropped my DSC-V1 while the zoom lense was out. Now the zoom seems to have become fixed and when i switch the power on it makes a clicking noise as it attempts to close the lense. Eventually it gives up and a message on the screen says "turn power off and on again". I guess that some cog or other got damanged when the camera hit the floor. Is there anything that can be done?

Hello, I have a Sony DSC-W5 camera and the screen is busted. How much would it cost for this part, and how much would it cost to have it fixed? Thank you for your time.

Hi Alex, I have a DSC-S75. When I turn it on the lens motor seems to be stuck. It won't open or close the lens. I can hear it trying to work and thena message on the LCD says to turn the camera off and then back on. Same thing happens. I've tried taking the battery out and waiting 15 seconds and that doesn't work either. I've tried a different battery and I know the batteries are charged. What do I do? Can this be fixed?

Hi, my Cybershot DSC-T1 was dropped and the four screws on the sides popped out. It still worked for about a week but now won't even turn on. Can this be fixed and what kind of cost am I looking at? Thanks.

When I turn on my Sony-Cyber-shot DSC S70 it makes a whirring sound and is out of focus. Sometimes if I turn it off and on several times it come on in focus. I would appriciate it if you can give me a rough estimate of the cost and time it will take to repair. Thanking you in advance, Leo Sacco 508-285-5787

Hi! Similar Problem: The camera (P200) was dropped approx. 2 weeks ago and showed an error message “E:61”. The zoom was faulty afterwards but the problem resolved after resetting the camera. A few days later, however, the same error code re-occurred and since then the zoom has not been working despite resetting etc. Is this likely to be mechanical or a "common" electr./ circuit problem? How much would it be to repair it? Thanks! PS: I live in the UK.
