I have a Sony DSC-F717 that has a problem charging batteries. The cammera works fine as long as it is connected to the wall, it turns on and everything. But if I turn it off, the charge button wont light up and it wont charge the battery. I believe that the cammera is not having contact with the battery, or maybe the whole battery charging system is busted. Have you encountered this problem before? How much would it cost to repair this type of problem ( An estimate, you dont have to be specific)? Is it in the $100s, $200s? ive got a sony DSC U30 and when u turn camera on and go to take photo the screan goes all funny colours for about 5 seconds then comes right. it like a purple colour shapes as a graph up and down lines. every thing else works ok ? Byron I have a Sony DSC-F707 with a intermitting problem. When I depress shutter to set up for picture I sometimes get a washed out view or a view that looks like the white balance is not set. I tried all settings on W/B and still same. If I let up on shutter one or more times I will get a proper view.
