  I ned a Sony RMT-V402. The generic won't do since it doesn't have all of the features needed to control the VCR. Any ideas? Thansk Bob

      See this thread: The part number for the Ixus 40 / SD300 is ck9-1103 (screen only, without backlight). You buy it from a canon parts distributor, not sony. In the UK, call H. Lehmans (Photo/Video) 01782 413 611. The screen (without backlight), VAT, and shipping was about 33 GBP. Cheers, Andy

  Hi, the VCR remote for our Sony Model #SLV-N88 has never worked properly, the battery contacts constantly unconnect! Anywhere I can get another remote model #RMT-V402B for less than the $40 Sony wants?

    Hi, Melissa -- I just saw your post from 2 years ago about a Sony V402B remote for an SLV-N88 VCR. I'm having very similar problems with mine and want to replace it.
