Assistance for Error Codes

If anyone is having any kind of Error code, clean head icon or any other concern, contact me first before assuming you have a problem. My e-mail is Ssample@jvc.com.

I am knowledgeable and have helped many people past their error codes without service. Several things can cause error codes and I would be more than happy to assist you in determining if you do indeed have a problem and what options you have available.

  I am getting an error code E04 on my JVC gr-dvl520u. the message states unit in safeguard mode...eject and reinsert tape. However the reason I got the error message was the tape got stuck and I have been unable to eject it. Is there a way to manually eject?

    hi my camera was dropped and since then the format error C13:01 comes up when a disk is installed in the camera. is there any thing I can do to fix it. Thanks.

      I have just had this error when trying to change tapes in my Sony DCR PC120E. The mechanism just seemed to jam. I searched google and found somebody else who had the same problem. The answer is simple. Just remove your battery and then reinsert it. This resets the camera and allows it to work again! This advice has just helped me and my camera is working agin now!!!       I was recording my daughter's first birthday party when I attempted to change the tape in my Sony CCD-TRV57 when I got the flashing error code C:32-11. I found a recommendation here to remove the battery and reinsert it to reset the camera. I did just that and the camera began to work again. This solution worked for me.

      I also have had the same problem repeatedly. At first, the battery trick worked, but no longer! I can now no longer eject the tape at all. Of course, this problem started right after my service plan expired!

    Cathy, Have you gotten a response for your error. I also have error C:32:30 I think it has moisture and I read I should remove the tape, I tried but the tape compartment won't open. Please let me know what to do. THanks. Lorena

    Cathy, I received this message about 4 months ago and tried everything and did not have the 2 weeks to send it to Connecticut for the warrenty work. So, it sat for 3 1/2 months. I pulled it out and it miracuoulsy worked. I do not know why and 15 minutes ago it started again. The carraige is jammed......

  I Get this error code on my sony TRV11e dv camcorder C:31:30
  The tape is stuck in the carrier and I can't get it out. It also makes a high speed wirring noise like it is rewinding rapidly. Is this repairable?

      Hey I Really Need help Here I am using TRV 17 one day and the error appear C:31:22 and I try to eject the battery and tape but the errror still appear can any one please help when I put a cleaning tape in it is the same error when I playback when I try to rewind the tape it will appear C:31:23 but i put the new casette it has work 30-60second play.then repeat the same problem

    Hey folks, After posting on pechorin'sforum a year ago, I got some great advice to get the camcorder wrking again- but only temporarily. Two people suggested smacking it around a bit (delivering a sharp blow to the base of the camera removing then replacing the battery, which to my astonishment actually worked. However this was always going to be a temporary measure. I contacted Sony after the violence stopped having any effect, and they told me that for a flat fee (£175) they would repair it and I wouldn't have any problems with it any more. I'm still waiting till I have the spare cash to send it away. But for now it seems I'm at the end of the road with the TRV 11e...

      Hi, I have the same problem for 3 years now, errorcode C:31:30. The best suggestion I have had untill now is: "Get tape out, let the camara open, get batery out and then smash it (smoothly) three times with a flat hand. My camara is still working, but it is a risk.....goodluck.

    Hi I have this SONY GV-D1000 NTSC mini DV recorder (clam shell) and am also getting this C:31:30 error. Basically when I take the battery off for a few minutes and put it back on the error goes away. When I close the tape compartment without a tape it seems to function properily. The minute I put a tape in and close (regardless of tape brand) BOOM this C:31:30 error pops up with this annoyiny beeping sound. anyone have a clue? fedup

      I've a Sony TRV11 and I was getting similar issues. Then I read on this site a suggestion to smack the bottom of the camera. I tried it and quite interestingly it started working. I just did that and not only that I can insert the MiniDV in, its playback and recording functions seem to work correctly.

    OK this is nuts!! I took the battery off and raised the clam shell over my head and dropped it on the floor behind me in frustration pretty hard. problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!! now works like a charm. extremily psyched

  My PVW-2800 is showing me an error 10 it was playing fine even with the error showing once I removed the tape the auto off shows up and will not take the tape,please help me.

  Have just installed media100 v6.0.3 on G4 733 continually get error message "Error loading Media 100 library Error condition of 19203 detected." Cannot find reference in troubleshooting guide etc.

  I have a Compact Disc brand head unit and when I put a cd in it makes a ticking sound then spits it back out and reads E07 on the display. What does this mean? Thanks.

  I keep getting the error co C:31:22 on my video camera. It then stops working evening if it is on AC power. The camera is two years old. Can you please help me.
