Assistance for Error Codes

If anyone is having any kind of Error code, clean head icon or any other concern, contact me first before assuming you have a problem. My e-mail is Ssample@jvc.com.

I am knowledgeable and have helped many people past their error codes without service. Several things can cause error codes and I would be more than happy to assist you in determining if you do indeed have a problem and what options you have available.

  I have a Sharp Camcorder Model No. VL-E630U. It opens and closes normally except with the Hi-8 tape inserted. This causes an error code E007 and it will not retract the tape back into the camera. after a few seconds it pops the carrage open to remove the tape.

    I have the same camcorder. I use regular 8mm tapes, not Hi-8. I started having the same error come up recently and cannot use the camcorder. I have not been able to find out what is causing the problem. No answers on the net about what E007 pertains to. If you know anything, please let know. Thanks Joe

      -I use a SHARP VL-Z950-S video camera and ran into the same problem. -The camera would not play, record, rewind nor fast-forward the tape. -When trying to record, E007 appeared in the view finder and side pannal screening and the camera made a ringing tone everytime the record button was pushed. -When I took the Sony MiniDV cassette out of the camera, a portion of the tape was sticking out. -Has anyone taken their camera to a repair shop for servicing? If so, did you figure out the case of the error? E.Goodman

    I have a Sharp VL-Z3 which I purchased in mid-2003. It worked fine for about two years before I began getting the E007 code. Same problem as everyone else - tape is stalled, it will not record, fast forward, rewind or play and makes a dinging sound every time I hit record. There is no information regarding this error code in the manual, which I think is amazing, considering they had to have programmed the error code number into the camera ... Anyway, it has been several months and I have found no information regarding this error code online - my warranty is obviously up and I also read online that Sharp discontinued manufacturing video cameras at all. If you google this error code, you will come across many forums of people complaining that their cameras are not working because of E007 (as well as a DEW error, which also appears to be common) but not ONE SINGLE comment from ANYONE who has discovered how to repair the issue. Therefore, here is my advice. If you get an error code EOO7 or DEW on your Sharp camcorder (any model), don't waste your life looking for a repair. There are none. The cameras are poorly manufactured and often break down after a year. Chalk it up to a loss. After many months of stewing in anger, I am throwing mine in the trash and purchasing another brand of camera. I will not be purchasing another Sharp electronic. Ever.

      This means there is moisture inside the Viewcam. Try taking the tape out, leaving the cassette compartment open for 2 hours to allow any condensation to evaporate. I used a hairdryer, it works now! If the DEW indicator is still illuminated you'll need to call a Sharp authorized servicer.

  I have a new Sony Plasma tv model- KDE-50XS955. The picture looks soft compared to others I have seen. I have looked into the service mode to see if I could see a problem and found a service error code under the category PANEL. It states the following:

  DIFF 1
  
  i WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS IF THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM.

  I have an Ideal 4001 VCR. It has a jittery picture. By this, I mean that no matter what tape is played, the picture vibrates from side to side, a distance of around 5% of the screen width.
  The display has RF 55 on it all the time when playing. The RF is flashing and the 55 is steady.

  I have a error code 31:42 on my dcr trv230 cam corder again.. the service shop wants to charge me again.. .but i do not think they did anything last time can you help me the camera will not work

    I cant belive it,, the internet to the rescue again... the service tech was going to charge me 180.00 to fix it,, for all i know he used the hair dryer trick as well Hmm next time i will check first before being tricked ,,

    I got the same trouble. I have a HandyCam DCR-DVD203 and I reinstalled all Windows XP and then the Picture Package again and nothing worked out. The mysterious "Access is denied", blocking us from transfering via USB the pictures and films arose again. Sometimes I had some success getting one or two pictures and a filme, then it blocked again. I suspect that this distributed by Sony "Picture Package" software has a serious trouble and conflict with Windows XP, mainly the last upgrading the Microsoft sends automatically. I am stating this that before I reinstalled the whole windows XP I had installed this picture package software and had no problem. As this software is the only one I had to collect films and pictures the sony handycam became useless to me. Sorry to say that. It is a shame to Sony to have this unsolved conflict. Thanks to all that might have a proper solve to this, because as far as I know Sony hasn't any. Adonis

      I have the Sony HandyCam DVD 203, it has been one big headache since I purchased it 1 year ago. I have conflicts with Movie Maker II, and Adobe Permiere. Is there anyone who has the same problems? If so, how do you work with picture package? Wondering in AZ Carol

  I have a Sony CDX-52 CD Changer. When I push the play button, I get an E-99 error. The error code flashes for approx. five seconds before going out. During this time, I can hear the radio being muted but the CD does not start up. After about five seconds, the radio kicks back in and the E-99 disappears. Any assistance will be appreciated.   I have BETACAM SP SONY 1400AP AND 1200 P IN STUDIO. pICTURE ON MY MONITOR IS ALWAYS ON HALF OF THE SCREN.
