I've had my GR-DVL310 miniDV camera for about three years. When it works, it's a nice camera. But I've already sent it back to correct one problem (under warranty), and it appears that same problem is back. It turns on, but then says "EO4 - UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE REMOVE AND REATTACH BATTERY," which of course does nothing. The error is in every mode (A, M, Play) and recurs whether the battery is charged or not, even when the power adapter is plugged in. What's more, the viewfinder doesn't work, even when the screen is folded in. Please let me know if I can do something to reset the camera, or how much it would be to send it in for repair, as I'm sure the warranty has expired. Thank you.

I have a JVC AV-27730 that has lost the picture. Only a thin horizontal line. I need to know which part is the vertical output ic and which capacitors around it to replace as I'm sure that's the problem. When the problem first occurred it returned to normal after leaving off overnight. That cycle repeated for a few weeks until now. It no-longer recovers by leaving it turned off overnight. I am planning to replace the vertical output and supporting electrolytic caps.
Thank you.

Kenny L - 1st Feb 2005 19:53 My JVC GR-D30US will not charge the battery. I purchased a new battery, but that one doesn't work either. The charge light blinks a few times then goes off and the battery never re-charges. I don't have an external charger. Do I need to take my unit to a repair shop?
