Hi, I have a JVC GR-D50AG Mini-DV Camcorder that has a "lens cap" error, even when lens cap is off? Nothing viewable through the lens or on the LCD screen. Sometimes it worked well after just swith on and leave it 'warm-up' for 15~20mins. Everything else works as it should. The warranty was over only 1 month ago, it's not worth to send for repair. BTW I live in Singapore. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a JVC GR DVXE
I do not use it that much, but recently decided to transfer some old tapes onto DVD.
The fist tape played perfectly well and I uploaded all the images to my Computer.
When I removed the tape and trid to insert the next one The mechanism refused to close and a raindrop Icon appeared in the matrix screen.
The unit was working perfectly, but now I cannnot use it at all.
It is definitely not damp.
ANy suggestions?
Thank you

hsuhsu - 16th Feb 2005 19:06 I have a brand new DR-MV1S (purchased 3 months ago) that gives a disc error message on the DVD discs that I was able to watch previously. I tried disconnecting the unit for over an hour as a customer service rep suggested. It worked for DVD-RW disc, but not for DVD-RAM. A few minutes after this re-boosting, it stared giving me a disc error message again for all DVD disc type. Any suggestions?

Tim Skowronski - 18th Feb 2005 18:41 Stacey, I saw your name on the Pechorin's website and had the following question issue/question: I purchased a the AV36FA44 TV a little over one year ago and it no longer works. The repair shop I took it to the gentleman says he has "never seen anything like this" on a TV that is only one year old. Around two weeks ago I was watching the TV and the screen lost color, went narrow on the horizontal and the vertical and then a loud popping noise occurred. The audio and visual were fine after that. I shut it off and watched it the next day when I smelled something burning around the TV. I saw smoke rising for the grill towards the rear of the TV. I immeidately unplugged it from the surge protector after shutting it off. The repairman showed me the board and the vertical circuit has a hole in it which also burnt up part of the board and the horizontal circuit blew a few caps. As stated above, the TV was plugged into a surge protector and nothing was ever spilt onto the set or the area around the TV. How could this happen on a TV that wasn't watched very much the first eight months I had it and how does it get repaired? The gentleman at the repair shop said he would need the schematics for the TV in order to fix it if it is repairable.

elier - 19th Feb 2005 15:30 I have a JVC GR-D30 model. I could not get picture in any operation mode. I can replay back and record but only record sound no picture is taken. When I turn the camera on I get the "lens cap" message. After a while a low contrast warning message appears and stays on. I reset the camera and still does it. A friend of mine use a USB cable to donwload some image to his ilife in his powerbook. I was not present therefore I could not tell what he did.

Emilio Sorondo - 10th Apr 2005 1:42 I am having exactly the same problem and my GR-D30 has been used very little and onky by me. I think I have recorded only 4 hours in 1-1/2 year.

HI, i am having a problem with my JVC TV. It is model # AV 27D302. I have had it for many years and never have had a problem. What is happening is the TV turns on and off and works properly, however after the channel number goes off the screen a black box appears on the lower half of the screen and stays until you change the channel or volume. Then it comes back again. What is the problem?

Hi
I've got a JVC GR-D73AG camera and the guarantee has just run out, so before rushing off to the nearest dealer and probably spending as much as the camera cost to buy to have it repaired, I thought I'd take your advise on this problem.
The camera worked fine till recently up to my last take and I've been searching for an answer ever since. I switch on the camera to start recording and the indicator blinks that the lens cover is on for the first 5 seconds (as it should do IF THE COVER WAS ACTUALLY ON!) and the LCD is black with just the usual indicators on such as I'm in automatic mode, etc. I eliminated the problem just being related to the LCD screen and tried using the viewfinder, but it's exactly the same!
Please advise me in this issue.
Thanks & Regards Ramki
