    JVC GRD30U digital camcorder

    "Lens Cap" error.

Like many others here (and hundreds of othes that I've read at other internet forums) my camera reports that the lens cap is on (when it isn't) and will record sound, but no picture.

Has anyone found a solution, or received a reasonable reply from JVC about this issue? I am reluctant to throw good money after bad & have it repaired. I have read that others have paid $250+ for this repair from JVC only to have it recur.

This unit was hardly used and treated with extreme care-- it looks as if JVC has made another enemy for life.

I have a JVC GR-D93U MiniDV camcorder. I used it for about 2.5 hours today to transfer information to my computer and to video tape my child. Nothing apparent happened to the camcorder in transit. However, when I returned home, the camcorder would not play. I know the battery is charged. I tried the adapter plug in. Nothing provides power. I am unable to eject tape. There is no appparent power to the machine.

Do you have any suggestions as to what may have happened or how to fix it?

    Rachel

you could try removing the battery , waiting for few seconds and resetting it. Another reason it may not come on may be due to moisture in the unit. You could keep it in a warm place for sometime and see. Let me know if it still acts up. :-)

Sadly, the camera is still showing no signs of power. It will not even power up with the wall unit plugged in. Any other thoughts? Rachel

I have JVC GR-DVL210A. Pls tell me how to create a movie VCD from the moving picture stored on MiniDV tapes - What Software and HW is required for it and hpw much does it cost? My laptop has a USB port while camcorder supports serial port.

JVC has provided some software to store still photo pics into a CD.

    I stay in Bangalore, India.

    Regards

My JVC AV-35BP3 will play fine for a while and then just shut down. I can only describe it as if something is overheating. Sometimes it happens after 15 minutes of use, sometimes after 1 hour. It needs to rest for a while before it can be started again.
    Any ideas?

I have a JVC camcorder GR-DX100ek. I keep getting error message EO1 and saying to remove and reattach battery. This does not work. Is it likely to be the battery? I would be grateful for any help. Thanks
