Hello, I saw your post on Pechorin's site and I had a question for you. I have a JVC GR-DVL520u and when I turn it on an error message pops up (E01) and says "Unit in safeguard mode" then "Remove and reattach battery." I have and nothing changes. It will not record and nothing seems to work. The tape will not even eject. I would appreciate any help.
Thank you,
John

Aaron Kahler - 11th Oct 2005 22:58 I have a JVC AV-20D303 TV that has just recently decided to display the picture slanted towards the upper right hand corner, this is most evident on channels that have scrolling text along the bottom of the screen. How can I fix the picture so that the display is level? Any help would be appreciated.

Emily Hachey - 12th Oct 2005 18:21 I have a JVC camcorder model # GR-SXM260US. It has been refurbished through overstock.com. I have only used it twice and now I cannot get the eject button to work so that I can put a tape in and use it. I discharged and recharged the battery that I have and the machine does turn on but still will not eject. Thank you for you help.

Stacey,
I have a JVC AV-36F802 TV. I had similar problems as some of the folks on this site. Repair people supposedly fixed this problem, but left me with another. The picture keeps turning yellow. If you jiggle the CRT Socket PWB on the back of the CRT the picture returns to normal. The socket seems to be loose. Any suggestions? TV guys said it was a bad CRT and would probably just get worse. I don't buy it. What's your opinion?
Thanks,
K Stoddard

Karen Vincent - 13th Oct 2005 18:10 I have a DVD Recorder/VHS Cassette Recorder DR-MV1S. It recorded last nights shows fine, but when I woke up this morning, it was flashing "LOADING" in its display window. I have tried everything I can think of... but it will not turn off when I press the power button on the unit, the stop button doesn't work, nothing will eject, and it still flashed after cutting and restoring the power.
Any help you can provide will be very much appreciated, I would like to record some things later today.
Thanks so much!

Karen Vincent - 13th Oct 2005 18:16 I have a JVC DR-MV1S DVD Recorder, VCR combo unit. Everything was going well last night as it recorded the TV programs to the DVD RAM disk. We watched and removed programs, and it was fine when we went to sleep.
When I woke up this morning, it was flashing "LOADING" on its display window, and I can't figure out what to do to fix it. It will not turn off when I press the power button on the unit or the remote. The Stop button doesn't work. Nothing will eject. I cut the power and restored the power and it still flashes. I'm just not sure what to do.
I would like to record stuff tonight, but I'm beginning to doubt that I can ever get it working again. I will be eternally grateful for any assistance you can provide. I tried calling JVC, but was put into a phone loop that continually brought me back to the main menu. So you're my only hope!
Thanks so much!

I have a new JVC television. recently when we watch tv or movies, a big black rectangle box pops up in the middle of the screen and will not disapear. what do we do?

Try going to the close-caption settings on the menu and change it from 'TEXT' none. The big black box is an area for showing text captions - which it never does.

Just wanted 'whomever' posted the fix for the big block in the middle of the screen - it WORKED!!
I went back and pushed the closed caption or (cc) tab on the JVC remote
and it had been set to text. I'm not sue what button I pushed to take the text off - but it probably was the cc button again, and that turned the text off.
Anyway I wanted to thank someone for their help on this.
My husband bought the set on sale, but the Dealer did not have a user's manual
to go with the TV. Which leaves us up a creek when things happen and you have no eartly idea how to fix.
Thanks again
julie

rather not say - 2nd Dec 2006 14:37 Thank you SO MUCH! My husband and I came home, turned on the tv to watch some news, and there was this big black box we could not get rid of. I decided to go where I always go when I have a question (ask.com) and I found your messages. Thank you, thank you, thank you-I was about to beat on the remote!
