I have a 2 year old JVC GR-D30U which I bought in Toronto Canada in August 2003, It no longer records video. the playback function works fine and it will record sound but it seems that it cannot pick up any video to record.
I have had some problems with condensation in the camera before I wonder if the problem is related to this. this has been a problem since I've bought it actually (condensation in the camera)
Any advice would be appreciated
thank you
Liam

I have a jvc av-48wp74. I turn the set on and I get high voltage, but the set shuts off shortly afterwards. I unsoldered the collector of the horizontal output transistor, the set came up and stayed on a while longer. Could it be in the vertical circuity, or is it in or past the fly back? Thanks for your help, Sean Hopper

My JVC camcorder (model number GR-SXM260u) had the "E04 Remove and Reattach Battery/Unit in Safe Guard mode" message. This message was due to apple juice damage from the kids. The message has left but the screen still does not show the video. All it plays is lines, what can i do to see the normal screen again and is there a way i know that it isn't all damage inside from getting wet?

Hi, I have a JVC KD-SH707 MP3 Head Unit. It's about 3 yrs old and have never had any problems with it. Until now. I was playing a cd the other day and I switched tracks too far back past 01, it said track 99 and just quit working and ejected the CD. I tried several other CD's and other types of media discs and none of them would read, they would try for about 15 seconds and beep and eject the disc giving a F1 error. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem? A local dealer said they thought it might be the Pick-up eye.

I have a JVC CHX99 cd changer and the little read out screen reads R4 whenever you turn it on. I recently had my car battery replaced. Would that cause this? How do I reset the code so that the cd player works? Thanks for your help!

Michael - 22nd Oct 2005 3:50 Hello, I have a AV-32430 television that has suddenly stopped turning on. One problem has been that the power button on the television itself has been missing for some time but the TV has been working with the remote controls. Today it suddenly will not turn on, the cable box and dvd player work as usual but the TV seems to be dead. I have checked all the usual supects such as power cord remote batteries ect. Do you have any idea what is wrong and is it worth fixing?
Thank you very much for your time.

Ron - 22nd Oct 2005 12:51 I have had my JVC GR-D30U for only 6 months. Everytime I turn it on the condensation problem turns up. Others have told me to clean the sensor but I don't know where it is. I have put moisture packs in with the camera . This hasn't worked. I have opened it up and let the hot sun shine on it for a couple hours and it will work for about 10 minutes. Help. Thanks Ron

Erin Farnsworth - 22nd Oct 2005 16:35 Hi. I emailed this same problem to the "error codes" thread, and realized that, just like this one, Stacy Sample has not replied to anyone for a very, very long time. So I thought I'd try this line and see if any other happless JVC Camcorder owners have some advice for me:
I too have what seems to be one of many, many JVC error code problems: My JVC VHS camcorder, model GR-AXM225, displays the error message, "EO3 UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE, REMOVE AND REATTACH BATTERY." This happens as soon as you try to do anything (push buttons, etc.) after turning the camera on. Unfortunately, I have already paid to have this problem "fixed," only for the same problem to return soon after I started trying to use the camera again. I am feeling very frustrated. My little son is now 9 months old, and I ache to be able to record the only time he'll be a baby! Do you have any advice?
Thanks so much, Erin Farnsworth
