Hi I'm having a problem with my JVC GR-D72 digital video camera...Every time i turn it on it says lens cap on when it is not on and the monitor shows a black sreen and i've used this for a total of 6 times the most...There is nothing in the manual that covers this..I've seen many people post this and they said to contact JVC and they should be able to fix it free of charge until october 2007, but they need a copy of the receipt? I bought this item 2 years ago and I definitely did not save the receipt. Could you please help me on this situation?? Thank you so much! Vanessa

I have a JVC camcoder. It does not display on the LCD screen when on A or M mode for shooting (recording). It can play on the LCD screen, but cannot display for recording. It is total black out. It is written 'lens cap' on the LCD screen, though the lens cap is not on.

We have dozens of home movies shot on JVC VHS-C or SVHS-C tapes. We are trying to record them onto DVD's. We are using a JVC C-P7U adapter. Some of the tapes play without a problem, but others have squiggly lines running vertically and horizontally on the screen. Then the lines go away. Then a few seconds later, they return. This continues throughout the tape. I don't think the head is dirty on our player because some of the tapes work fine. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated. We do not want to lose years worth of home movies/memories. Thank you Dennis Ellis

I have had the JVC GR-D90U for just a little over a year now and have the "Lens Cap" Error. How do I fix this or is this one of those things where you guys blow everyone off?!? After doing some research I believe that all of these cameras and other models are faulty. Why wouldn't you tell people of this? I sent my warranty in so if you knew there was a problem you should let others know. Can this be fixed? Ruth E. Fackler

jvc i'art av-56wp30 The blue is trying to escape. The convergence menu doesn't help, it's still 2-6 inches out of center. Do I need a tech or can the IC's be changed by a novice?

I have a JVC mini DV camcorder (model GR DV800U) that I use with my students and the tape slot just stopped closing. Things whir, but nothing moves and the tape holder doesn't close. I saw your email on Pechorin's. Thanks for whatever you can tell me. The school of course has no budget to get it fixed.
