Hi, Stacy. Read your post @ Pechonin.com, where you offered free tech advice. Just what we need!! We have a JVC Camcorder Model#GR-DV800U. We love the camcorder, but, we have experienced a problem. Camera has been well cared for, never dropped or abused. Went to use it for my granddaughter's first birthday, and POOH!, darn battery was dead. Okay, so we charge it. Wrong. Still won't work. Charge a second battery. Nope. So, we figure, well, maybe the batteries need to be replaced. We bought a new battey, charged it and, you guessed it, still nothing. The camcorder WILL operate on AC power. Help!! Advice? Ideas? Thanks in advance for your help, Valerie Maltese

Dez - 21st Oct 2006 20:05 JVC camcorder, model GR-AXM225. There is no play or playback via the LED screen. The LED screen is grey when camcorder is powered on. No error messages appear on view finder screen. The camcorder will record without error; however, the playback function does not appear to be working either.

I am trying to record from the camera onto my stand alone DVD recorder. I am using an S-video line from the camera to the DVD recorder, but all I'm getting is video. What am I doing wrong?
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions JB38 - 22nd Oct 2006 8:34
An "S" video line does not carry any audio in it, you also require to have the audio output from the camcorder connected as well, if you dont have an audio cable on its own just use the standard A/V cable supplied with the camcorder but leave the video plug (yellow) unconnected at the DVD end.

Remove and Reeattach the battery" I want to point that when switched to Memory card the camer makes normal pictures and everything seems ok. I shot in widescreen 16:9 (But not HD) with GY HD100. What is the setting to play 4:3? I can't un-squeeze it. I would accept letterbox. Thanks

JVC T.V. Model # AV 48 WP 30 Serial # 14759663A
Regarding Color Convergence.
Put TV off a couple of nights ago - all OK Next A.M. the colors were bleeding into each other, writing was really difficult to read and picture was blurry.
Pulled page 52 off the internet regarding Adjusting CRT Color Convergence.
Can 'almost' get it right, but cannot get them all right and perfect at the same time.
Then when turned off at night, and restarted next day, it has gone back to the blurry, color bleeding situation. Is there a 'set' procedure after I attempt to adjust convergence to as good as it gets.????
What needs to be done? Is this worth repairing??????
Thanks Peter Carr
