hi. am i in the right place to ask a question regarding my jvc receiver? i have the rx 558v, and it has started giving me an "overload" messgae, and cuts off if i turn it past about 25 (which is very low volume). it has worked fine for years, and everything seems grounded and connected well. ideas or solutions?

My TV turnes off and then turnes back on. This happens at different times, may happen once or more times in a hour. When it happens i can here a sizzle or a crackling sound. A tap on the back sometines will turn it back on. I am good with a soldering iron (past life)
    THANKS

I would first thoroughly investigate the area around the mains input circuitry checking that the internal fuse is tight in its holder etc, then switch the set on and with the aid of a LONG plastic or nylon rod and whilst exercising extreme caution! lightly touch all the components centered around the fuse and the ones obviously connected to it. (WATCH THAT YOU DO NOT BRUSH AGAINST THE TUBE OR THE EHT LEAD CONNECTED TO THE SIDE OF IT WHILST CARRYING OUT THIS TEST) If you cant get it to flinch by touching anything, with the set having been unplugged for about 30 minutes to discharge any capacitors simply touch up all suspect looking PCB contacts with your soldering iron, there isn't really any magic cure other than carrying out that sort of procedure.

I have a JVC i'Art 30" Flat screen about 2 years old and I have lost the picture. The sound is fine, just no picture. Any suggestions would be appreciated and the cost to fix, if you know.

I've had TVs that are over 20 years old and are still working fine. I can't believe this TV is having problems already. Hopefully you can help me out.

    Thank you

I have a JVC TV Model LT-30e45su. This morning the screen went blank and I am unable to see any on-screen-display information either. I still have sound. Can you advise what the potential problem might be? Thanks, JJ

I have the same problem. I bought my tv 3 years ago. I see I am not the only one having this problem. I will contact my local JVC to see if they can repair it.
