Sony DSC F707 error e::61:10

I have a Sony DSC F707 and when i picked it up the other day it was flashing e::61:10 and my zoom dosnt work if any one knows how to fix this or even what it means please let me know

  Two light smacks on the LCD side and camera works now.

  wot a dumbass!!!! :-)
  
  just stumbled across this blog... as my recently bought Sony HD Handycam displayed this message after accidently slipping off my printer omto the carpet floor..
  I was a bit skeptical at first but after 3 goes at the banging method (last being banging on the swivel chair armrest covered by a towel), it amazingly worked..

  Well...
  
  The same blinking E:61:10 appeared on my old Sony DSC-F707 and no more focus or zoom was possible. Sadly missed some GREAT shots of the soon to be endangered Fire Salamander coming out of hiding during the Autumn rain ;(
  
  After reading through most of this thread (couldn't believe it; looking for any reported problems with the "fix") I decided to give it a try by starting with what I would consider two fairly mild taps with the ball of my hand to the underside of the lens barrel (opposite the flash).
  
  And that's all it took! Gone was the error and focus/zoom was back :D
