I have a GR-D71 JVC Digital Video Camera and have the same problem the len cap error appears but nothing else and I can't seem to record anything. If you could e-mail the solution I'd appreciate it.

I have a JVC GR-D72U that is showing a very distorted picture, most of which is black with some horizontal streaks of white with jagged edges. In the beginning it was stating that the lens cap was on and there was only a black screen, but now it has this very distorted picture that is unrecognizable. Does this sound like it would be covered under the free repair?
