I get an error code on a TRV 330 of C31:42 which doesn't allow me to use the camera. It is dry and taking the tape out and the battery out and replacing them doesn't seem to make it work. I tightened all the screws I saw on the camera and that helped once but now it is doing it again. Any ideas?

I have a Panasonic AG-1970 VCR which has been a good workhorse for many years. Now today it is giving me some flashing "d" on the front panel. If you insert a tape it immediately comes back out and never winds up. Also, the power button does not work anymore--on the machine or from the remote. I cannot find any error message like this. I should mention that many times we have bumped the machine hard when it is not tracking well---always seemed to fix it right up every time. My wife says she bumped it once today and got this message. Now the machine is basically dead. Or is it just mostly dead? Thanks!

Wayne...saw your posting & I think I can help. Looking at a Panasonic manual for a similar deck, it says this "d" is a code for "dew" or condensation. It says (quote):
When condensation forms inside the unit, the error message "d" will be displayed on the counter and all operation buttons are made inoperative. Leave the unit on and let it remain at room temperature until "d" disappears. Depending on the surrounding conditions, this may take several hours.
Sure hope this helps!

That's great information, but the room conditions haven't changed in years and the unit really couldn't have got wet---UNLESS someone spilled something on it!!
Hum---wondering---those teenagers of mine......Mountain Dew..??
Do you know where the dew sensor is inside the case? Maybe something is stuck.
Thanks again for the info---you're right--all controls are frozen.

Hello, I have 2 sony fd75 camera's and 1 gets the disk error sometimes and I just swap disk. But the other one I bought my nephew does it all and every time. I am a machinist and have some mechanical ability. But with this almost new looking camera nothing I do keeps it from getting this dish error c:31 i think.I shook it a little and didn't hear anything loose. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated! Sincerely,Thomas Reno Or does people work on these?
