JVC repair assistance

Stacy Sample Posted Jan 29, 2004, in response to:anonymous

If there is no tape in the unit and it is not accepting the tape in...I believe you need it looked at. If the mechanism (tape basket) is not engaging and you have reset the camcorder by removing & re-attaching the power source, then you have done all you can do in regards to troubleshooting. How old is your camcorder and where are you located?

My cam is a JVC VideoMovie GR-AXM65OU with serial# 08381310, manufactured March 1998. I have already brought this in a JVC service center in Cebu City, Philippines. it just operate for about 2 weeks then dead again. (Brief History) First, theres an occurence of a droplet icon on the LCD screen which when occurs the camera wont operate. Second, the tape will be rolled inside the capstan followed by complete shutdown of the unit making the cam unusable. So, i broght it to the service center. In just more or less 2 weeks the faults appeared again. Adding another fault, the zoom button doesnt function normally. Can you please give me technical assistance? Where can i secure a repair manual for this model of camcorder? Please help. Thank you & more power.

I have a JVC BR-D40U Dockable deck that failed with a tape inside and a code readout of 33-1, Tape Unload Impossible. Does this sound like a major problem or something reasonable to repair? Thanks, Bob Lawrence

oops.... camera model is GR-D70U it just quit - period. I was taping, closed the LCD door, set it down, a few minutes later - poof! nothing. Using the AC adapter or battery makes no difference, camera simply will not "fire up" mu vacation tape is stuck inside, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you

I have a new JVC GR DX307 camcorder bought a week ago Sep.2004. I am having trouble loading the software for the PC Win xp pro. I get an error message saying "the third party INF does not contain digital signature information"! AND JVC PIX-MCV audio capture has not passed windows logo testing to verify its comatability with WinXP. The latter one I simply click proceed but I think the driver for the camera is not loading for some reason! Is there any patches out there I need to load or should I be looking else where? Please help if you can! Regards Brian
