JVC repair assistance
Stacy Sample - 28th Jan 2004 22:11
If there is no tape in the unit and it is not accepting the tape in...I believe you need it looked at. If the mechanism (tape basket) is not engaging and you have reset the camcorder by removing & re-attaching the power source, then you have done all you can do in regards to troubleshooting. How old is your camcorder and where are you located?

- Re: JVC repair assistance, JVC VideoMovie GR-AXM65O
June - 4th Nov 2004 9:20 My cam is a JVC VideoMovie GR-AXM65OU with serial# 08381310, manufactured March 1998.
I have already brought this in a JVC service center in Cebu City, Philippines. it just operate for about 2 weeks then dead again.
(Brief History) First, theres an occurence of a droplet icon on the LCD screen which when occurs the camera wont operate.
Second, the tape will be rolled inside the capstan followed by complete shutdown of the unit making the cam unusable. So, i broght it to the service center. In just more or less 2 weeks the faults appeared again. Adding another fault, the zoom button doesnt function normally.
Can you please give me technical assistance? Where can i secure a repair manual for this model of camcorder? Please help.
Thank you & more power.

dennis morris - 10th Nov 2004 16:48 I have a jvc gr-dvm90 where the video will not function because of a reoccuring E04 error message "UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE REMOVE AND REATTACH BATTERY" removing and reattaching battery doesn't fix the problem even after the battery has been removed for a week and the video tape removed from the camera. Patrick Blanco - 13th Nov 2005 19:33 Hi Leona;
Take a large hammer and pound on the camera. This should clear up any doubt about the camera's future.
