Hi- I have a JVC camcorder, model no. GR-D30U. I have had it for 2 years and have had no problems with it up until now. When I try to record, whether I am watching the LCD screen or looking through the viewfinder, the screen is black and the image that I am trying to record does not appear, the screen is black. However, it is recording sound. There is a flashing yellow icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like a person's silhouette and if I hit the "blank search" button it turns white but I can never get it off. Please help!! my JVC hx-c6 is displaying status and then protect. afterwards it shuts down and will not power on. what to do? i returned a previous one because it ate my cd and now this.

I have the JVC GR-D33U and i had the camera working at one point but now when i turn it on it syas the Lens Cap is on, but there isnt a lens cap on it. i checked everywhere on the menue and around the camera and i cant find anything to take the lens cap off. when i record you can here sound and evereything just no picture. Can You please help, if possable can you contact me becasue im leaving for a snowboard trip and i really need the camera to work! Any help would be much appreciated. Hi, I purchased a JVC GR-SXM250US from a friend. It records just swell and the picture is perfect, but the problem I am having is with the sound. When I record the sound is very low. I try recording with the volume up and down, but still the same results. So could you please help. Best regards.
