Assistance with JVC product
If anyone has a question regarding a problem with thier JVC product (error codes, safeguard mode etc) write me for troubleshooting assistance. Please provide your model # if available and note this site so I can assist you better.

rita - 1st Jul 2006 7:54 hi, I have a jvc gr-d27ou #060n6979. It has been working fine until just today I tried to eject and change the tape and now it seems to be stuck in 03 safeguard mode. We have barely had this camcorder a year, is there anything that I can do. I tried removing the battery but that didnt work. Please let me know asap. thanks Rita

I have the same problem. I've tried pulling the battery to re-set. Did you ever get any resolution to this problem?

De - 2nd Aug 2008 19:31 I have the same problem too! Anyone found a fix yet?
JVC GR-D27OU MINI DV Camcorder. Less than 100 hours use and the cassette door now won't open or when it does it won't close, and then it doesnt want to eject the tape.
Every other time it stops/starts it gives the dreaded SafeGuard 03 or 04 message and replacing the battery, ejecting the tape (when possible) doesnt help.
This seems to be an obvious bug but its hard to tell if its mechanical, software or both.
has anyone gotten a fix for this. Its a great cam but worthless if it wont work.

Our JVC GR - DVL300 does not show any image on the veiwscreen during record. It says "LENS CAP" with no lens cap on.

Posted wrong model number earlier: Our JVC GR-D33U shows no picture on the veiwfinder screen, it only says LENS CAP with the lenscap removed.

Explanatory e-mail sent, however your e-mail address comes back as being changed BUT with the new one being EXACTLY the same as the old one! (You seem to have problems with more than your camcorder!)

mike - 31st Jul 2006 12:38 JVC has a repair program, just google JVC model# and repair. I can'r find the address.
You must be a first owner of the product is the only qualification, i beleive.

Carlos Allievi - 2nd Jul 2006 14:22 I HAVE A JVC GR-D32U, AND WHEN I SELECT AUTOMATIC OR MANUAL TO REC A MOVIE, THE LCD AND THE OPTICAL DEVICE REMAIND BLACK AND I CANNOT SEE NOTHING. WHEN I SELCECT PLAY OPTION I CAN SEE OLD MOVIES THAN I RECORDED BEFORE THIS PROBLEM SO I THING IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE LCD. THERE IS ANY OPTION IN THE MENU BAR THAT COULD BE PRODUCE THIS PROBLEM? I LOST MY MANUAL SO I COUDN T READ IT. THANK YOU

I found this web site as i tried to troubleshoot my problem..(PECHORINS )My father received a JVC gr-dvl 120u for a retirement present from his company a couple of years ago.This year I borrowed it to shoot a sporting event of my sons since his zoom is quite higher than mine.He told me it always went into safe mode and he would have to eject it and start over. He had shot about an hour of footage on the tape.He said he refused to use it because it was so frustrating.....Well I borrowed it anyway and he asked me if I could figure it out......to no avail....it constantly goes into safe mode and ejecting over and over hoping it will stay on and shoot is frustrating....Is there anything I can do or buy him that will make it easier for him when I return it to him? I have a JVC Digital Video Camera model # GR-D200u. We recently went on vacation and put a new tape in the camera. When we got to our destination the unit was in safeguard mode error code E03. We have ejected and inserted the tape and other tapes several times and nothing works. Any suggestions?

I am getting the error message (E01) unit in safeguard
mode, remove and reattach battery. I tried a new battery
and fully charging the unit did not help, still getting
error message, please help!!!!

I have a 32 inch JVC, model AV-32850 that does not stay powered on. When I press the power button, either on the set or on the remote, the red light comes on for a second, I hear a click, then a couple seconds later I hear a second click and the set turns off and the red light goes out. I have tried this numerous times, various times of the day/night, and the same thing...no TV. I have changed batteries in the remote, but no difference. Nothing unusual has happened to the TV to explain this mystery. Can you help?

Wendi - 4th Jul 2006 2:40 We bought a blazer that has a JVC CD receiver Model # KD-S590 in it. It has a CD stuck in it. We would like to know if there is a way to get it out. Thank You
