RSimmons - 16th Sep 2006 15:19 I've had the JVC GR-DVL520 for 3 years now with flawless performance and one day it decided to do the following and has been that way ever since:
In "Video Mode" I recieve this message when powering camera on or opening cassette door for tape eject:
E04 EJECT AND REINSERT THE TAPE UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE
I can hear mechanisims working but - the error message stays on the screen, the light does not function, I cannot access the menus, the tape does not eject and I cannot power off the camera unless I remove the power cord or battery.
In "Memory Mode" the camera appears to function normally except, I cannot access the menus, I cannot snap a shot, the light does not function and the camera won't power off unless I remove the power cord or battery.

Kelly - 16th Sep 2006 16:11 So, last year I recieved a JVC Compact VHS Camcorder, Model Number: GR-AXM17U. I have been having trouble with it. When I got it, it was working perfectly fine, I was recording and playing and all that good stuff. Then one day, it wont record anymore. I really need it for an upcoming event, and have no way of buying a new one. How do you suggest that I fix it? I've presses the red button, and all the other buttons in the process.
I also looked up the Manual on it, and they dont have a Model Number of GR-AXM17U. They do on the other hand have a Model Number of GR-AXM17US. Is that the same thing?

Tim - 18th Sep 2006 5:27 I have a JVC HR-XV3aa DVD/VCR combo. It will not eject VCR tapes. I pull the power out and it tends to flash on and off for a few minutes and when it settles down, it still doesn't eject. It has worked once or twice before going back to it's old tricks and I use different tapes which brings me to believe that it isn't a tape getting stuck problem, but instead a problem with the unit. If you are able to help it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Stacy, How do I turn off the stage/light show spectacle on my JVC MX-GT-80? I hit the sleep button on the remote but it only stays off for about a minute. I hit the cancel button on the stereo faceplate, and again it only stays off for a minute. Nice stereo, but being in my bedroom with a light show all night kinda sux! thanks in advance, Jim Bryant Seattle, WA

Stacy, Nevermind, I figured it out with help from your website. The light show/demo would stay on all night. I just found out that holding the demo button down for about 3 seconds will turn off the demo. It even says it across the menu screen "demo off" Thanks for putting up the website manual address. jim Bryant Seattle, WA
