Assistance with JVC product

Hi my JVC gr-d20ek camcorder will replay previous video but wont allow me to record anymore. It say please remove the lens cap? Is this something I can repair, is it a setting or has the last person I lent it too lied to me and drop kicked it? Please help, any help appreciated.

Hi! I have a JVC TV model number AV-36F802 which recently started giving snowy picture. The problem exists irrespective of the input - Coaxial cable, Component video, etc. so it seems like something wrong with the display device. Can you point me to some solution?

Srihari - 11th Nov 2006 3:35 Hi Stacy, we have a JVC Video Cam. But one month before suddenly the screen black out and not able to see any thing on the screen or throgh lens.seems sound is working. Not sure what will be the possible problem. Could you please advise on this.

I have a JVC GR-DVL150E serial number 06671912 that continues to show error E04 Unit in safeguard mode remove and re-attach battery. This occurs even when the battery isn't in and it is on mains supply. Please can you advise.

Hi i have just read ur email about ur camcorder going into safe guard i have that cam too and mine has done the same did u ever get to fix the prob as no one can sort mine and would love to know thanks

Yes I fixed it. It's a known problem as the capacitors age. The answer from a JVC engineer was strange but worked....
Give it a thump on the top tape side of the unit !
It worked for me.

JB38 - 11th Nov 2006 20:12 It is not advisable to attempt to use your camcorder without a battery installed, as doing that can cause instability in the voltage sensing circuitry which results in what you are experiencing. (can even under certain circumstances cause expensive to repair damage to the camcorder)

sasha - 12th Nov 2006 6:34 Hi, i have a jvc digital video camera model gr-dvl805u. I'm having the problem that i can't see what's on the cassette and the error messages "unit in safeguard mode" and "EO4 remove and reattach battery" keep coming up everytime. Also, i look at the cassette when i take it out and as it seems the cassette isn't playing because the tape inside it is still on the same side. I have bought a new battery, cleaned the head, i can't seem to fix this and i don't know what's going on. If you can please reply with some help i'd really appreciate it, thanks :). in need of help,

ahmed abdalla - 12th Nov 2006 10:57 dear jvc i used the memory card to take both video files and snap shot, how ever when i connected the camera with the computer, i found that only the snap shots are saved and the video files are not saved your kind help please model number gr-d270as serial number 11016212
