Assistance with JVC product

If anyone has a question regarding a problem with thier JVC product (error codes, safeguard mode etc) write me for troubleshooting assistance. Please provide your model # if available and note this site so I can assist you better.

    I have the GR-D72 Digital Camcorder and have suddenly developed the E01 "unit in safeguard mode" "remove and reattach battery" error message. What can I do to remedy the situation? I live in Canada, does the warranty still apply? Thanks.

      It has to do with the cassette loading mechanism being out of synchronisation. It looks like you will have to contact your JVC service centre. Look at the JVC.com pages. It is up to them if the warranty applies, but it should.

    Dear Stacy,
    My 25" JVC AV27750 TV, which is only 5 years old, has recently had a problem with the picture diminishing to a horizontal line. First it was intermittent. Now it is constant, and I never get a normal picture anymore. Doing some research, I discovered that this is probably a problem with the vertical deflection coil. My question: Is this something I could possibly order a replacement part and/or fix myself? If not, what might a service center charge to fix it? The TV has been terrific and otherwise worked great, but obviously this problem is a show-stopper. Thanks for any advice you can give.

    I have a JVC Model AV-27750 and after about four years of excellent operation, the set now only shows a horizontal line, i.e. no verticle deflection. Problem could be 'remedied' for a while by tapping on the side. Now the line is there and the problem does not clear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

      This is a common problem with older JVC set. You have a solder joint that is loose or broken. You might try resoldering the wires from the Vertical Amplifier (big heat sink), on the yoke, and any large wires leading to the main board. My set was doing the same thing. I went in and resoldered anything that looked suspect and the set it working fine. DO NOT let the set operate long with just the horizonal line or you could blow the main output transistors.

    Hello. I just got a JVC GR-AXM230U from eBay with the hopes of fixing it. I tried hooking up power to the power jack as well as the input jack and there is nothing. None of the indicators come on, not even smoke. I was hoping you would maybe know of a place I could find a service manual. I found a guy who has one but only gives them out for a donation to some obscure charity.

    I have a JVC GRD50 DV camera, when I turn it I only get static on the screen. I tried turning it off and on again, very occasionally (approx 1 in 30 times)it work as before with everything in focus. Playback works fine. Is something with the lens slowly dying inside?

    My wife's camcorder model number GR-0SXM330 will not record due to the error code EO3 with the message safegaurd mode appearing in the LCD monitor. We have followed the troubleshooting guide in the owners manual with no luck.
