Hello. ine did the same thing. Thought it was dried out but it didnt. I had to turn my camcorder on and let it say on for about an hour. It will go through different thing on the viewfinder< kike the fade in and out, wide angle, just different things and then it worked out by itself but I had to leave it on for it to do it. It something it has to do while turned on. Hope this is the case for your and it works out.

I really dont think that JVC should do anything but call this cam back, - really a waste of money. None of anyone I'll meet in the future will recieve my recomendations for JVC-cams, -for sure! My JVC digital video camera model DR-DVL9000E keeps flashing the condensation sign therefore rendering it unusable. If I leave it on for a good length of time it dissappears and is fine, but hen the next time it all happens again. Somebody said it was because of the change in temperature but I am only using it in the home and during holidays which aren't particulary hot! There is certainly no drastic change in temperature. Have you got any ideas or where I can get it fixed?

  • JVC GR-DVL 45A 'E04' PROBLEM Vasudevarao P. - 26th Jul 2004 6:39
I am based at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. I am using JVC Camcoder GR-DVL 45A, Serial no: 11540098. It is being used since 1999 but sparingly. Since a year it has developed a problem of intermittently showing E04 on the LCD and does not work further. By luck it works, some times, by switching off/remove and replace the cassette. I do not want to give for reapir as my experience with other products indicate, my luck of repair. Could you please let me know the reason and remedy for the failure and the places in India where we get JVC repair.
    Regards

      • GOOD DAY!!! DR HARRY MEDUA - 21st Feb 2008 10:58
Hello Dear, I am Dr Harry Medua, An Internal auditing officer of the Bank of England. I am contacting you Concerning a deceased customer and an investment he Placed under our banks management years ago. In 2000, the subject Matter; came to our bank to engage in business Discussions with our private banking division. He Informed us that he had a financial portfolio of ($10,000,000 USD)(TEN MILLION UNITED STATE DOLLARS)which he wished to have us turn over (invest)on his behalf. I was the officer assigned to his case. I encouraged him to consider various growth funds with prime ratings. The favored route in my advice to customers is to start by assessing data on 6000 traditional stocks and bond managers and 2000 managers of alternative investments. Based on my advice, we spun the money around various opportunities and made attractive margins for our first months of operation, the accrued profit and interest stood at this point at ($12.2 million United States Dollars),TOTAL AMOUNT ($12,200,000 USD). He directed that I liquidate the funds and deposit it with a security firm in here London. I contacted our bank security house here in London and made the funds available to the security firm. I undertook all the processes and made sure I followed his precise instructions to the letter and had the funds deposited at our Bank of England based security consultancy firm, The deceased told me he wanted the money there in anticipation of his arrival from Norway later that week. This was the last communication we had. In June last year, we got a call from our Bank of london Securities Company informing us that the activity of that particular portfolio. This was an astounding position as far as I was concerned, given the fact that I managed the private banking sector I was the only one who knew about the deposit at Securities Co,and I could not understand why the deceased had not come forward to claim his deposit. I made futile efforts to locate the deceased. I immediately passed the task of locating him to the internal investigations department of Bristol & West. Four days later, information started to trickle in, apparently our client was dead. A person who suited his description was declared dead of a heart attack in Cannes, South of France. the deceased died without a testate. In line with our internal processes for account holders who have passed away, we instituted our own investigations in good faith to determine who should have right to claim the fund. This investigation has for the past months been unfruitful. I alone have the deposit details and they will release the deposit to no one unless I instruct them to do so. This is the situation. This bank has spent great amounts of money trying to track this man's family but no good result. The investigation has come to an end. I am prepared to share the money with you in half. That is: I will simply nominate you as the next of kin and have them release the deposit to you as a sole Beneficiary. We share the money 50%/50% iof the total sum $12.2 million US Dollars .I would have gone ahead to ask the funds be released to me, but that would have drawn a straight line to me and my involvement in claiming the deposit. I assure you that I could have the deposit released to you within a few days. I will simply inform the bank of the final closing of the file relating to the deceased and I will then officially communicate with my Bank Securities Co and instruct them to release the deposit to you. With these two things: all is done. I do not want you contacting me through my official phone lines nor do I want you contacting me through my official email account. Contact me only through the numbers I will provide for you and also through this email address. My official lines are not secure lines as they are periodically monitored to assess our level of customer care in line with our Total Quality Management Policy. Please observe this instruction religiously. I await your response. Best Regards, Dr Harry Medua Bank of England

Hi, I have a GR-DVM90U Mini DV camcorder, but stop working on video mode, I can play the video but dont let me Record, also I can not enter to video Setup menu, the camera start beeps and beeps, and turn on and then off. How can I reset the camera or I need to send this one to repair? I was using Panasonic Tapes, but the last one is a TDK, and I can Play the Panasonic but not the TDK's. Any suggestions? thanks...

    • Re: Re: JVC service or questions Mike - 6th Dec 2004 3:00
Keep away from TDK tapes, Panasonic, JVC, and Fuji tapes seem to work well with my JVC camcorder. Your Operation unit is probably the issue. A qualified tech should be the one to replace it, its a pain...

    Hello,
I have a similar question as the July 25th question from Lani. My 32" JVC D-Series TV has a huge black box in the center of the screen but you can still hear and see about a couple inches of the show on the edges. This may have first happened because the menu button was selected. When I try to "exit" the info disappears, but the solid black box remains. What's causing this black box and how do we get rid of it? Thank you so much for your help!

  • Re: JVC service or questions Rob Ray - 31st Jul 2004 22:03
I bought a new jvc vhs recorder/player just last year and now the picture and sound are getting dirty.
So I tried a Maxwell dry type head cleaner now a total of 8 times. The video's improved a bit, but there's still a flutter sound in the left sound track whenever I record something new. It's not there on older tape recordings. Does the left audio recording head need repair or a better cleaner, or something else?

  • Re: JVC service or questions Rob Ray - 31st Jul 2004 22:05
Regarding my last email, I don't think I gave you the model #, which appears to be: HR J692U.
    Thanks for the help...
