  You are simply great! I have no words to say thanks. What a splendid idea to get rid of such a serious problem as I was finding it really too difficult to use my Sony DSC-S40 with its white LCD for the last couple of months! I was just planning to have a new camera but suddenly came across with your marvelous Quick Fix Idea.   SONY should have to fix this problem. thanks my daughters camera had been sitting for over a year with this problem, decide to google see if any fix's then i found this,it's working now. we gave the camera to the 7 yo grand daughter she is so happy to have her on camera!!!

  I have to say that is the funniest thing ever! And the crazy thing is ... it works! I have a 4 megapixel - it's a great camera for the kids - and who knew? Thanks so much! We can now use it again! :)

  Hello I'm from Cusco Peru (machupicchu) and I am really sad because I have a camera Sony SR87 with the same problem of white screen, it takes photos and record videos very well but i can't see anything in the LCD. I supose the way of fixing it uis the same of the S40 so please i will be really gratefull if you can help me with this problem...please could you send me the way of fixing at franco_dh@hotmail.com thank you very much...

  my sony dsc-s40 cam is having white screen problem and i cant take pictures in day light,its get white lines,but pics taken in night is ok,how can i solve white screen problem pls help me.
