After about 10 seconds of being on the TV turns green or grey with some faint diagonal lines. When it is green it gets brighter and brighter then shuts down. I must unplug it to get the picture back, then it does this all over again. Seemed to have happened once and awhile then now its so bad can't use the TV. Could this be a capacitor of some sort, I cannot find any exact answers for this problem any help would be appreciated, seems others have experienced the same problem.

i am a student in a video servicing class having trouble with a JVC set. The model number is AV-32WF35. When watching the TV, the picture is streched out and cuts off the edge of the picture. I looked through the menu and couldn't find anything about fixing the screen size. i checked all the caps in the horiztontal deflection circuit and they all tested fine. i was wondering if you had any suggestions as to what the problem might be.

Hello; I purchased a new camcorder from Fry's Electronics on July 2nd, 2005. Less than 8 months into ownership, I had to have the "imaging device" replaced, at a labor cost of 200.00. I thought all was well after that experience, but was proven wrong at the 14th month from date for purchase. After footing the bill for both the device and labor this time around, I am rather skittish about trusting this unit with my video endeavors. The main reason for this is not only the track record of my JVC purchase, but also, in my limited exposure to others with EXACTLY the same problem.(Loss of Pix,intermittent pix, etc, while in "record" mode.) The course of action I would like to pursue now is to have JVC purchase the camera back from me, along with compensation for my time and trouble. The amount for the additional charges, I feel, should be on the order of 700.00 dollars, making the total 1100.00 dollars. I would certainly like to settle this without further litigation, to absolve both parties of additional time and material lost, Thank you very much for your time in this matter. JVC manufacturers many fine products, as my ownership of other devices can attest. However, this camcorder is not one of them, in my opinion. Sincerely, Michael Borelli

Thanks - I found this on a Google search. My stereo is a JVC and it says "protect" and it doesn't work - won't play CD's, etc. What is the solution to this? Thanks. Please post it on here so others can read it because there seems to be others with this problem. I know is was made in October, 2004. Seriel# 159X2099.

Hey! I have a JVC GR-D270US mini-dv video camera. I love it but all of a sudden it won't play the tapes. I can record but it will not show the tape in playback. I was able to get it to playback once, but it only showed the screen with multiple lines. Please help.

I have the JVC GR-D22U Digital Camcorder and I am receiving the "condensation error" message- I've tried to clean the unit with a Q Tip as described within the forum here with no luck, also moisture absorbing packs, blow dryer etc. I welcome all assistance from JVC or any other readers to help solve this concern as I miss this camcorder for use with my family and business. Thanks in advance for your insight and assistance! Jon

JVC AV-27BP3 Shorted out Al - 9th Sep 2007 6:26 TV and Amp connected to External speaker shorted out TV. Hi, I just shorted out the TV by connecting an amplifier to a pair of external speakers whilst the TV was connected to the same set of speakers. I didn't know this set-up could result in blowing something in the TV until I took the TV out of the cabinet and lo and behold, there was a diagram there on the back stating that this config. would cause damage to the TV. I'm quite surprised the current from the amplifier can go back into the TV via the speaker wires. Do you have any experience with this particular problem, and if so, will it be worth my while getting it fixed? Altho this set is a 1993 model, the picture quality is still superb and it's got so many features like the PIP, external speaker option along with a host of other things. It'd be such a waste to have to throw it out. Perhaps a simple circuit board or a power supply will fix it? Any ideas? Thanks! Al.
