I had the same problem for a little while. I have noticed when it is really humid out that the thing kind of freaks out. For a little while it would turn off in the middle of playing and then come right back on. Now it wont accept or eject CD's whatsoever.

My tv suddenly cut off and would not turn back on. I unplugged it and it sounds like it is trying to come back on and the red light flicks on and off beside what says is the on timer. Is there anything I can do to get it back on or is it time to find a repairman?

It would have been of assistance if you had cared to mention the model number of the TV you are referring to, however nomatter what it is the symptom you mention indicates that the power supply has shut down as a fault was detected so its really a repair job.

just changed out the stk392-110 with stk392-150

After Ichanged the stk's the red would jump up and down and the convergance wouldn't stay put. I took the board back out and noticed that only one stk was hot and there are a couple of resitors blown. Do anyone know the values of R862 and R842?

    Thanks,
    Wade

I am in the process of working on my AV-48WP30. I replaced the STK's but found that resistor R862 looks as though it's heat damaged. From what I can tell on my model it's a 1.8 ohm. Since my TV is suffering from the same problem as before I replaced the STK's (the green was severly bowed top and bottom) and this resistor's circuit leads off to the green connector on the board I'm hoping this will be the fix. HTH.

I have the ohms value. I was wondering about the wattage. I ordered resistors from digikey and they sujested using 3 watt resistors. Replaced the stk chips with the 150's (was 110)replaced the 3 burnt out resistors and tried the tv. Within a few seconds the resistors glowed and burnt out again. Put the old stk chips back in and replaced the resistors again and tried that with the same results. Am going to try 1 watt resistors which I think they are. What do i have to lose? This is a good excuss to get a better tv I think.

Hi. I have a JVC GR-D33 camcorder and when I try to record the LCD and view finder is black and states that the lens cap is on however it isn't. The sound records fine but there is no picture. Is there a fix for this? Thank you.

"FULL" info sent via "DIRECT" e-mail which includes details of the procedure used to obtain the free repair provided that you are the original purchaser of the camcorder.

Have a DVL725 and having headcleaning issues. Quite sudden. Going through all of the steps to clean the heads using a purchased dry cleaner but getting nowhere. No getting just a blue screen, instead of the bars over picture.

Would really like to get this product working again. I have not used it much since purchase in 2002, but have been using it more often now...and broke.

    I have a JVC model AV-27230.

When I moved and plugged everything back into the TV, a lockout code showed up and now I am unable to change the channels. I do not have the manual anymore. Do you know what the code is?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: compact VHS Camcorder GR-AX880U
My camcorder quit working. I have a blank screen-when I turn it on it has a short blinking message which says "lens cap" (the lens cap is off). It also shows the symbols for focus in the right hand corner. Can you help me fix this problem? Shirley

Your model has the potential to develop an image sensor defect, if you e-mail providing a "DIRECT" return e-mail address I will send on full details.

    Hello

I have just purchaced an everio gz-mg77u. When I hook up to the computer the access light stays on, and the power to the camera shuts off. I followed the instructions to the letter. When I emailed jvc the tech told me I had the wrong usb cord. I went back to the store and they gave me a brand new camera and cord. It does the exact same thing. Please help
    Steven
