Hi Stacy, Can't believe I may find an answer to my problem! Thanks for your availability to help owner's of JVC products try to find resolutions to various problems. I have a JVC KD-S550. It is a 40Wx4 Direct Track Access CD player in the dash of my BMW. I really love the unit but it has ceased to play. The unit turns on and reads "Hello" as always but immediately displays an error code: "RUN8001" and will not function now. Please help if you can. I've had the unit in the vehicle for about 4 years now and never had a problem. I love it and refuse to give it up unless you respond with bad news that requires replacement. Thanks again Stacy! Sincerely, Don

Hi, I have a JVC GR-D20EK camcorder. When on (M)anual or (A)uto focus the viewfinder and LCD monitor are blank, nothing can be reorded. What seems to be the contrast icons are flashing on the monitor (yellow, looks like a picture of a mountain, two arrows and the top half of a body) and sometimes the lens cap warning flashes. The monitor works on playback and I've done a cam reset in the menus. Any ideas???

Hi, I have a JVC HM-HDS4 and today the blue hard drive light failed to come on and there is a flashing symbol on the display window. It looks like an vertical line with a right arrow coming from the centre. There is also "F - 1" displayed which is not normally seen. Can you help as I see no reference to this fault in my manual. Regards, Steve.

I bought a 32" JVC model# AV-32D501 on October 30,2000. I went out and left my T.V on. I came back home and ther was no picutre on the T.V but the light indicated it was on. I turned off the power and tried to turn it back on. It sounded like it was going to power up but then just shut down again with the red light still on. I have tried and different power source and tried unplugging and plugging back in, but still doesn't turn on. What do you think this may be? Would it also be expensive. kevin k
