Here's a goodin, just installed a JVC KD-S5050 CD player in my truck and all it does when I go to turn the key the display says "see ya" and turns off right away. I tried to change all fuses, tried to reset the unit and it still doesn't work. When I hit the display button, it shows the clock for about 10 seconds and then shuts off again. How do I fix this? Please help, this has been a problem for several weeks.
Thanks, Ken

James - 6th Mar 2007 5:28 FYI - I have the JVC AV-32432 TV, and the user manual says that if the 'on timer' light is blinking, that there is a problem, to "unplug the set and call for service"...i know it's as clear as mud, but at least you all know that even the JVC manual doesn't have a quick and easy solution!
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
JB38 - 6th Mar 2007 11:15 A blinking timer light on any JVC TV is an indication that the power unit has shut down because there is a defect in the internal circuitry, this usually something that if allowed to continue could either damage the tube or cause components to overheat, rectification of same requiring the problem to be investigated by qualified technical personnel.

kim - 6th Mar 2007 6:35 hi i have a JVC GR-DX77U and i tried playing this mini dv which was recorded from another video, and it keeps on displaying, "tape in safeguard mode; eject and reinsert again." how can i take it out from safegurad mode?? urgent reply would be appreciated.. thanks!
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
JB38 - 6th Mar 2007 11:22 Try your camcorder with a tape previously recorded in your 77U just to make sure its still working, and if it is then the tape you are trying which was recorded on another camcorder is possibly wound on too tightly as JVC camcorders are super (over) sensitive to this sort of thing.

My JVC GR-D32U shows streaked lines whenever I turn it on, whether in play mode or record. They are different color streaked lines, blurring the entire image. I left it in my trunk, the camera, while it was cold in Syracuse a few nights. Could this have damaged the lens?

adriana - 7th Mar 2007 21:52 I have a JVC GR-DX77U MiniDV camera that is showing a message "E03 Unit in safeguard mode" I did what the manual says but nothing and also called a JVC Dealer in DC but they charged $65 for the estimate so I dont want to pay that amount if the problem is simple or if is better to get a new video camera because if that is the option, I will prefer to save money again, until I will be able to get a new one, probably another brand. Thank you very much for your help

I have the GR-D70US camcorder. It started getting interference on the screen, then it went blank with the words "Lens Cap" flashing on the screen even though the lens cap is not on. I can view the menus and even what was previously recorder but I cannot record anything new. I have powered it off and on, removed the battery for several weeks and nothing changes. It appears that no signal is coming from the lens. Is there anything I can check or replace to fix this problem?
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
JB38 - 8th Mar 2007 8:54 "FULL" info sent via "DIRECT" e-mail which includes details of the procedure used to obtain the free repair on this particular fault, provided that you are the original purchaser of the camcorder and have evidence to prove it.

i have an av-36fa54 and the timer light on the front just keeps flashing and i can't turn it on or anything. what could be the problem? thanks
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
JB38 - 8th Mar 2007 8:58 A flashing timer light on "ANY" JVC brand TV is simply an indication that the power unit has shut down because an internal fault has developed which requires investigation.

I have a JVC DVL520 that was working great. Then suddenly without warning it gave me an error message that the battery needed to be installed. But it was installed. So I removed it and replaced it. Then the Mini DV tape holder would not let allow ejection of the tape. It will just make a noise like it is trying to pop open but it never pops the tape out. Can I manually remove the tape with a screwdriver? Is there some other way to open and eject the Mini DV? Please help.
