I have a JVC Digital Video Camera. It uses the Mini DV Cassettes. I recently got the E03 message saying that the unit is in safeguard mode remove and reatach battery. I had it for a really long time. It is a GR-DVL315U. I just wanted to get my recordings transfered onto a Recordable DVD instead of a regular movie cassette tape so I can save it easier and it lasts longer. And later buy a new and better Video camera. I tried everything to get it to work but It won't work. I hope someone can help. Take it easy. Alicia

I have a JVC Video Camera (Model #: GR-D30U) and the when i open up the screen on the side or the viewfinder, it just comes up black. Everything else like the zoom level, the battery level and the "pause" or "record" symbols are still there but there is no picture.
I was able to reply to you from pechorins.com

Bridgette Heard - 7th Apr 2007 5:30 I have a jvc home stereo/boombox model #CA-MXGC5 and serial #16028G. I want to know why the word "PROTECTION" keep coming up on my stereo and the volume number want go up pass 20? If you can answer that question ASAP, I will be very grateful because I am having a party tomorrow.
- Re[2]: JVC service or questions
JB38 - 7th Apr 2007 6:52 If "PROTECTION" comes on under the circumstances you mention then that can indicate the possibility of a partial short circuit on the loudspeaker wiring OR by having an additional or alternative loudspeaker of an incorrect impedance coupled on to the system thereby overloading it.
If this does not apply, then an internal amplifier fault has developed which requires investigating.
(Try setting a little less BASS response, as that can sometimes make the shut down circuit back off slightly)

To Stacey, My wife has a JVC GZ-MG50AA camcorder. When she transfers the footage from the camera to her computer, the scenes are filed out of sequence. She would like to have them filed in the order in which they were recorded. Any ideas on how the camers OR computer can be set achieve this. ???? Ron Bracken
