Convergence problems on AV-48WP30

Can't adjust the red horizontally

Convergenge went out suddenly about a week ago. I can adjust the blue horizontally and vertically. The red will only adjust vertically. However, the horizontal is way out of whack. Any ideas? Thanks

  I am also having problems with my red. The blue and green work fine were as my red is coming out scrambled. If this is the same problem I will be glad to crack her open and perform surgery. I went to the site that was listed by Nicole. The only discrepancy I had noticed was the guide and schematic were for model# AV-65WP74, I have an AV-48WP30. Are there any differences that I may need to know between these two models, if not I'll begin the transplant.

  Same problem with the red convergence. It willbe fine for a while and then get all messed up. Cannot move red convergence horizontally. After some time it will correct itself, but will get messed up after a while lnoger. Please help!!

  I'm assuming I've got a convergence issue with mine simply because when I bought the TV, it had been repaired for a convergence problem. The green is fine on the outsides, but goes "skinny" in the middle. It's making a concave shape would probably be a better way to describe it. The green is also shifted somewhat but the main problem is the way green is being displayed. While I'm here, I'm also wondering if anyone's found a way to use the DVI port with a computer. My video card has the HDCP circuitry built-in but for som reason this TV was designed not to accept a computers video signal. This is not that big of a deal, just asking the question. Getting my TV fixed is more important. Thanks, in advance, for whatever help I can get.

  I WAS WONDERING IF I CAN BE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE A AV-56WP74 ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD AND JUST A FEW DAYS AGO THE PICTURE IS SHOWING DOUBLES, RED AND GREEN. SHOULD I CALL SOMEONE OR CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME A SIMPLE WAY? THANK YOU.

    I am having a trouble with Model # AV-48WP30. The blue light blinks, and then i unplug it and plug it back, and it makes a thumping noise and then the blue light blinks again. I am unable to power on/off? Were you aboe to resoove your issue, and if so, how? Thanks for your help :)

  Is this issued being fixed? I haven't heard to many success stories. I have a JVC AV-56WP74 and am having the same problem. Is this something that a person with no tv repair knowledge can fix? If so please help me!! Otherwise does anyone know the average cost this would be?

  Eric, since you are "THE MAN", maybe you could help as well. On my AV-48WP30 the top left corner bends up with double images as well as bottom right. I have checked with the crosses but it is those two that will not cooperate.

    I had a problem with my TV colors not lining up. One day I turned it on and the green was out of wack. I checked this message board and replaced the STK chips, bad soldering and all led to me just giving up on that and buying a whole new Convergence Board ($185). I replaced the missing silver box on the new board and I just plugged this in and though now my Green lines up okay, my red is out of whack. Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? Did i miss a step? Frustrated......Bruce
