I MADE IT!!! I HAVE ALL MY PICS BACK!

I CAME BACK FROM MEXICO WITH LOADS OF PICTURES AND AS SOON AS I ARRIVED BACK HOME I REALIZED THE CD INSIDE MY Sony Mavica MVC-CD300 COULD NOT BE READ BY MY CAMERA OR MY COMPUTER. ERROR MESSAGE " DRIVE ERROR C:13:01 ".

I TRIED CD-DVD DIAGNOSTIC AND IT RECOVERED PART OF THE PICTURES.
NOT HAPPY, I TRIED BADCOPY PRO V 3.76 (DOWNLOADED TRIAL VERSION FROM CDNET.COM)
AND IT RETRIEVED ALL OF PHOTOS!!!!!

    REALLY HAPPY NOW.

WHEN USING BADCOPY PRO UTILIZE "RESCUE LOST FILES ,MODE #2" ON EACH OF THE TRACKS OF THE CD. DON'T FORGET ANY TRACK!

    GOOD LUCK!

I just had this error in my T7. It's a Sandisk 512MB MS Pro Duo. The other Memory Stick Duo reads fine. I tried the Setup and format using the camera but it still says Format Error. (C:13:01). I wanted to use Bad Copy Pro but couldnot use it because the drive itself doesnt show up in My Computer page.
Tried using my printer, but it also cant be read. Any advice? Tried rubbing, inserting 10-20 times, rubbing the metal sides using cotton. No use.

Gary Am abroad, have just got that stupid error 13.01 on the disk, and have read all the pages here, and got BADCOPY.Exe to read the disc successfully and copied all the pics form the card to the pc. DO IT, it works. Paying 39 dollars is a darn sight cheaper than going back on hols and cheaper than getting an IT geek to do it for you, plus, you can be confident of getting round the error if it happens again good luck

To fix SONY C:13:01 ERROR! Go to "SET UP" and FORMAT and OK ! Do the formatting using camera setup option and not throught computer. It should worked! Mine did!

I have both the DCS R1 and H1. I get the error in the R1 and use the H1 to format the Mem sticks 1 and 2 GB pro duo. Why the sticks format ok in the H1 and not the R1 is a real mystery? The problem seems to be random for all the Sony cameras. My chips can both be formated in my fiends DSC 717 but not in the 828, and can be formated on my PC. I got the error in the H1 when doing a review of my shots. I could advance forward in the review ok but not backwards and would again get the error. I was able to download the photos to my PC and format the chip on the pc. I must conclude that this is a random compatability problem that Sony refuses to acknowledge for which there is no fix.

Not recover my photos,Not format my Memory Stick.

I just want to know why C:13:01 appeared accidentally or continually?!!!!!!

Should I buy one hundred piece Memory Stick?
I will use the hundred piece after C:13:01 appeared 99 times.

Re: SONY C:13:01 ERROR Tristan - 30th Jun 2005 15:18 The best thing is to insert the memorystick many times rapidly in-out for a few times about 10 15 20 times. Then it is working again. It's surly the way to resolve this error. But C:13:01 will still appear accidentally.

Anything is worth a try. I tried what you said. However, I put the 1GB Memory Stick in and out of my laptop about 20 times. I then put it in my Sony DSC-717 and the C:13.01 was gone.
