Hello, Did you ever get a fix for this? I'm getting the same error and have potentially "lost" 80 photos as of yesterday morning. I am so upset about it. Sony is closed due to the hurricane. Help!

I also receive an error message when I turn the camera on. The mode selector is on the arrow when the camera is turned on.

Help!! I have a Sony Mavica FD-200. It has a floppy disk drive and a memory stick drive. The floppy disk part quit working (because of C:13:01) about a year ago but the memory stick part was still working fine. I took some pictures 2 days ago that are irreplaceable. I took out the memory stick, put it into my HP Photosmart printer and it showed all 58 pictures were on the stick. I took it out, put it in my camera and now it says C:13:01 Format Error. When I put it back into my printer it now says "card access error". I am not really concerned about the camera, I just want the last 15 pictures that are on the memory stick. I tried using the trial version of Photo Rescue, it found a few pictures but they are ones that had been deleted months ago. If anyone knows what I can do to get the pictures off of my memory stick, please help! I tried calling Sony but they were no help at all. Thank you so much!!!

Use this free download (over 6MB):
http://www.pcinspector.de/smart_media_recovery/uk/ welcome.htm or get from Download.com and read their reviews (28 reviews 92% positive)
I was getting the C:13:01 Format error and couldn't view my pictures that I had taken. It worked great for me recovering those pictures and even recovered deleted files that we didn't need anymore.

I get a similar error message, except now my camera (DSC-P10) will not even come on in picture taking mode. The lens extends, makes jerkey whining noises, retracts, then extends, then retracts and then a message shows "turn power off then on again". HELP!! I have loved my Sony P10 until now. It appears to have completely croaked!! (in picture view mode, I can view, download and do all other operations. Canīt take any pictures). Hard to believe from Sony.
