SONY C:13:01 ERROR

I get error C:13:01 in SONY cyber short camera. PLEASE GIVER REPLY HOW TO REPAIR.

  I have just recovered very precious pictures from the damaged Mavica CD using CDRoller. It looks like it is an excellent program.
  It is quite unfortunate though that the guy from Sony tech support knew nothing about this excellent software. When I called he just kept on bubling about the fact that my CD was damaged. So what?

  DSC-p73. SanDisk 256mb Pro. Started giving C:13:01's Memory Stick Error when recording high quality movies. Then started giving me Format Errors. Would have to remove and replace stick many times to get to the point where I could even format the card, half the time it wouldnt let me format. Returned card. Used included 16 and 32 meg regular Sony Cards. Works fine. Also, with faulty card USB 2.0 transfer went slow...or would go fast then start going slow. No such issues with other memory cards.

    Thank you, thank you! I only wish I had checked online sooner. I went to a wedding this weekend and was down one 128mb of memory. I just reformated it and it's back up and working. Thanks!

  I am looking for help with the same C13:01 memory stick error message. This memory stick was filled, removed from teh camera and now exhibits the error message. When placed in a card readre on a PC (WIN2000) the system does not even recognize the media in the card reader.
  Any ideas are helpful. Please email me!

  Mavica FD 73 - - The dreaded 1301. I put a brand new disc in ----take a few pictures - up it comes - and Disc Error...I put into my computer...and it won't show anything. Seems like the Camera is just eating up the discs....I take a new one -try it ---and it gets a Disc Error --so I toss out a disc.....................I tried to push tabs - - etc.......I'm ready to just throw it in the dump. I paid $125.00 - - and cannot see spending a fortune to repair it.......At work we've been using the same style camera for years - never happened.........so I buy one - and have hardly used it --and now it's broken........agghhhhhh!     if it\'s eating discs, heads may be seriously out of line. in any case, sell on eBay, \'cuz there are too many good parts remaining

  same problem with new dsc-p32.. had camera about 45 days and then all the sudden memory stock error... the memory stick works fine in my other 2 sony cams but no other sticks work in this camera now.. i called sony she said rest the camera but does not work either. She said take it to nearest auth sony center which 380 miles away in California... I am also past my 30 day return so now im screwed.. sony will not even acknowledge this problem on there web site either.. i told her to make sure she notes that in her report that they should at least acknowldge this as a know problem or defect.. this stinks!

  I got a Sony MVC-CD500 and on a couple of my disks, it's giving me this C:13:01 error. Now, it came with a Sony 156MB 8cm CD-R and CD-RW, but when I went to get some media for it, I got 210MB Memoryx 8mm CD-RWs. My two problem CD-RWs are the Memorex brand. Could the problem have something to do with the 156MB vs. 210MB? I see now that Sony sells 200MB 8cm CD-Rs, and if you believe the heiroglyphics on the back of the package, they are intended to be used in cameras (and who else makes CD-R/W cameras? - they must be intended to work in Sony Mavica cameras). Anybody out there have this error with Sony 156MB media? It's 5x more expensive - I'd hate to have to buy it from Sony.
