This is the error of memory stick. If u have got this error message firs of all take backup of your memory stick and format it. If u get this message after formating the disk, then once more re-format it. This problem will be solved . be happy

Hey if you are recieving an C:13:01 Error, try to format the Memory Card. Do this by connecting the camera to the computer, then when the computer asks "what do you want windows to do?" choose choosing "Open Folder to view files using Windows Explorer". Then right click one of the file and click "properties". Under general change the "attributes" to place a check mark on read only and nothing else. (I don't remember if it is for both files) Then switch the camera into "Set Up" mode and place the Memory Card in. *Notice the C:10:Error sign has not yet appered*, qucikly go under "memory stick tool" and click on the "format" button to format. Hope this works, as it did for me!

My company has a Sony DSC-F707 that suddenly stopped working. We tried three different SanDisk memory sticks and none of them were accessible. I read many posts here that mention someone dropping a camera, and then it starts working again. Well, I didn't want to drop this camera, so I gave it a gentle spanking. And it WORKED. Must be something loose in the circuitry, or maybe some dirt inside the thing. Whatever it was, it's working fine again.

I JUST got this error after using my 5 year old Sony F717 for an evening. I took quite a few photos, most in rapid succession. I had been using the nightshot feature, and had tunred off the shutter sound effect as this seems to actually speed up the cameras recycle time. Suddenly it stopped working. I had 3 memory cards with me, and none of them would work with my camera. However, the cards still worked in my PSP. The data was visible when the PSP was connected to my computer. After reading this forum (thanks to everyone who posted), and after trying several solutions with no success, I tried: Pressing the card FIRMLY INTO THE SLOT, and TURNING THE CAMERA on while STILL HOLDING THE CARD IN AS FAR AS IT WOULD GO. I also gave a FIRM, WELL PLACED TAP WITH THE PALM OF MY HAND to the body of the camera. I am not sure if it was the tap (or perhaps smack might be a better term) or the pressured insertion of the card. Regardless, the CAMERA WORKED immediately after. I hope this helps to anyone else who has been able to confirm it is the camera, and not the cards. Thanks to all contributors.

Just about to order a new Sony Cybershot, when just for a laugh I typed in "sony camera access problem" (as my current DSC-W30 had stopped working and kept coming up with access error, zooming in and out erratically, asking me to power off and on etc etc). Thought I'd have to bin it. Took me to this forum so I banged various parts of the camera across my knee and a table. After 3 or 4 tries, hey presto back to normal. Brilliant! - wish I'd tried this with other Sony kit I've had that's gone bonkers for no reason.
