SONY C:13:01 ERROR

I get error C:13:01 in SONY cyber short camera. PLEASE GIVER REPLY HOW TO REPAIR.

  today i bought the sony dsc p150. the standard 32 mb memory stick works fine. i also bought a sandisk memory stick pro 512 mb and took some photos. after loading them down at my apple g4 i also had the error c:13:01. i woul suggest, we return our cameras and want our money back. the first time the problem appeared in this forum was more than 18 months ago and sony was not able to fix that problem - shame on them. i´m really annoyed!!!!

    I also have the p150 and c:13:01 error when using my new 1GB sandisk magicgate memory stick pro. Have you had any joy with fixing your problem?

      I just bought a Sandisk 1GB magicgate memory stick pro alongwith a brand new sony dsc-p150. I immediately get the C:13:01 error. Can't reformat it through the camera, card reader won't read it either. I have a 32MB stick that came with the camera that does work. Help! KQ

  I have had a similar problem with my sony cybershot 717 and lexar 256 memorystick128mb by 2. I solved the problem by placing the card in the centre of the oiji board joining hands we asked who is there, the eggcup flew around the table & came up with c 13 01 We asked it to reformat & the eggcup flew around the table again spelling out done. I have'nt looked back since.there is of course another solution ie with heavy adhesive tape a dessert spoon to your forehead remove after 4 days find a frog and say the word sony this normally works on a Tuesday

  ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE LAST NIGHT I TRIED TO REFORMAT THE CARD SEVERAL TIMES BOTH ON THE CAMERA AND COMPUTER ONE SIDE DID FORMAT I GOT A MESSAGE SAYING THE CARD WAS READ ONLY THEN THIS MORNING AFTER ABOUT 5 ATTEMPTS I MANAGED TO REFOMAT IT IN THE CAMERA. I DO'NT KNOW WHY SONY CAN'T COME CLEAN ON THIS PROBLEM.I'M SURE THEY MONITOR THIS SITE AND I WILL WATCH IT OVER THE NEXT 2 WEEKS TO SEE IF THEY POST ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM,IF THEY DO NOT I WILL NOT BE BUYING OR ADVISING ANYBODY TO BUY SOY PRODUCTS
  P.S. I WAS GOING TO BUY MY DAUGHTER A SOY DIG CAMERA FOR CHRISTMAS.

  Hello I have one problem with my memory stick (8 MB) the camera say that "format error" when I like to use de memory Stick may be I can do any thing, In the computer conected with camera I can see the memory stick.

    Hello, I had the same problem occur with 2 different memory sticks at the same time. I suspect it was caused by an airport x-ray machine. One of the cards was a Lexar dual-128 Mb card - bank worked fine, the other caused the C:13:01 error on the camera (Sony DSC-P9). At first I tried reformatting the cards through windows - which did not work. However I later found a card format option in the settings of the P9 camera which did the job. Both cards work fine now.
