Tim - 28th Jun 2005 12:11 Try removing the battery, then reconnecting it and go from there. I have the same problem and this seems to get around it temporarily. Sony appear useless for any info on it, even though it seems fairly common.

Hello,
I have one fitted in my mr2. I also have a user manual which I could probably copy and send to you and the other chap on this thread.
Nothing to worry E-04 is caused by a dirty disc or the disc is inserted upside down, according to the manual.
Regards,
Harvey.
Feel fee to email me if you have any other questions. Just one from me. Would you know how to remove and what tools I might need to take it out with I have a mini disc changer to connect to it. Thanks in advance. Harvey

I have a Sony PFM 500 a3w plasma with the 12/22 error, any thoughts on how to fix the problem? I was told it's a problem with the high voltage supply.
Thanks,
Marc

The problem you are having with the Sony PFM500 with error codes 12 and 22 is not the HV power supply. Unfortunately you have an unfixable monitor. Most people hear a "pop" just before the monitor quits and then the error codes appear. The problem is in the plasma screen itself. If you were to remove the large cover from the back and look on the far left side of the plasma screen you will see several epoxy covered areas on the plasma screen ribbon cable. One or more of these areas will have a crack or popped epoxy. There is an IC under there that has catastrophically failed. It is not worth the cost to replace the screen.

Serdar - 27th Apr 2005 5:54 Unfortunatley no. I called the Sony service here in Sacramento and they want $40 to just look at it. I said forget it. I would probobly pay close to $100 to fix it so it just seats in my office. I guess I'll buy a new one soon.
Please let me know if you find anything about it.
Thanks...
- Re[2]: Error Codes Assistance
Lonnie - 2nd Aug 2005 1:14 I just had the same error with my TRV67.
Didn't want to pay for service on a four year old camcorder.
I was searching the web and found another site
http://www.digital-world.info/viewtopic/t-1441/start-30.html
many people have had this problem and wacking it might work.
And to my suprise, after I wacked it a few times it
opened my cassette door and I was able to get the tape out.
It must be sand from the beach that causes the c:32 error.
Try giving it a few good wacks and protect it well at the beach!
