  You know I went and bought and new camera and came across someone on ebay that said in their listing there was a fix on google - so I google came across this and did and it worked - so I bough a new camera for nothing, but I will sell one of them.

  Wow, I can't believe it! I just had the first white lcd screen tonight, and I googled it on net, and voila, found THIS page! Other people have this prob? I really thought my camera was broken. Your solution, worked! Thank you thank you! So very weird!

    Does the white screen eventually mean the death of this camera? My camera seems to be doing the white screen daily, and once with lines on it...glad I got it for free! My Canon is a much better camera.. Carolyn:-)
