Hello, I have a Sony SLV-960HF and i am getting a 3L 42 AA error code. Is my VCR doomed? It has already eaten one tape and the sony website is usless. Gabe I tried emailing the listed address and found it to no longer be valid, so here goes nothing, I'm hoping your still at this address as the original post was in 2004, anyhow, the error code we get is P1639, we were told it is one that only a dealership can decode though we've gone to several places for a 'free' diagnostic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
