My JVC GRD-30 Digital Video Recorder constantly displays "Lens Cap" on the screen even when the cap is off. It also only records audio and no video. What\'s up with that? Thanks

Hi, I have JVC Digicam Model GR-D70 (Australia) that is just out of warranty and suddenly started showing E06 error code an going into safe mode, this seems to be a common fault on JVC digicams (either E04 or E06 errors). JVC's distributor in Australia has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with, the rep I spoke to virtually called me an idiot and refused to disclose what the error codes are, they told me to take it to a service centre ..... great ..... $100.00 "Quote Fee" before it's even looked at, what a joke. I since found out on the net that E06 is tape motor not turning or stalled which would be correct as it seems to move around 1" of tape then jam up, any ideas to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I think the error was EO3 The tape is not feeding properly, is this something I can clean?

Need help resolving a E04 error code on a JVC DVL-805U camcorder. This error was proceeded by a clean head warning and then the safe mode code E04. I've purchased a cleaning liquid however I don't think that's the problem, as the dive seems to be laboring making a adnormal pitch sound or not the normal drive sound when engaging and starting up a tape. This camcorder is four years old max and has only had a total of 6 six tapes recorded all JVC DVM60. The problem started when I went to view a xmas tape that was recorded on Maxell. I'm looking for any help and a repair manual if available. I'm a Mech. Engineer with electronics background so I'm anxous to tackel this problem. I have scopes available for diagnostics. After viewing many web pages it's become apparent that I'm not alone in getting this E04 code.

PLEASE help me! I'm going on an 8 hour trip and my cd player won't play any discs! The stereo is KSRT70 and the error code I get when I try to play a cd is IE2 (not sure if that is an 'I' or a '1'). BTW - my cd magazine won't eject either. It was playing cds fine, next time I get in and want to play them - error msg. and lots of frustration. Any insights would be GREATLY appreciated.
